76ers get 2nd pick in Draft
Tonight in Secaucus, N.J., the NBA held its annual NBA Draft Lottery to determine the selection order for the 2010 NBA Draft, to be held June 24 at Madison Square Garden.
The 76ers, who entered the lottery with a 5.3 percent chance of winning the No. 1 overall selection, ended up with the 2nd selection in the Draft. The Sixers had a 6.0 percent chance of earning the second pick.
The Sixers, who were represented at the Draft Lottery by rookie point guard Jrue Holiday, finished the 2009-10 season with a record of 27-55.
Evan Turner of Ohio State is projected as the No. 2 pick in the draft.

Goeagles, good lineup and you are especially right that Iguodala has no business being on this team anymore. CBent1
demarcus cousins is derrick coleman's second coming. he's gonna bomb. evan turner is richard hamilton, or better. referees
go eagles....... 2 80 million dollar men on the bench????? ego's will not let thatt happen, even though it should referees
Sixers should trade the #2 and Elton Brand to Minny for Al Jefferson and the #4. They should then use the #4 to draft DeMarcus Cousins. The salaries would match for such a trade and Jefferson is younger and a better fit for Philly. Cousins would be their Center of the future. I think Cousins will be the best player from this draft, and I think a starting 5 of Holiday, Iguodala, Young, Jefferson and Cousins will be elite in a couple years. shahrod
I'm not an expert but I am a fan. Not sure how I feel about another 6'7" combo player, rave reviews or not. Now on the other hand the man child Demarcus Cousins is exciting! He's 19 for God's sake. What's he going to be when he grows up? Freaky, scary potential; solves the Sammy problem. While he has a chance to be a dud the upside potential is too awesome to pass up. Trifecta

While Demarcus Cousins is intriguing, the Sixers desperately need someone, ANYONE, who can shoot from more than 10 feet with any consistency. Draft Turner. chuckw

sharod if for some reason the twolves would agree to that id be ecstatic with that trade imafish17
cousins has been "listed" a full 6'11", if not. NO WAY!!! NO ! NO! NO! Would turner take the ball away from jrue. We know turner can create. As any ball player knows you also have to finish. Can turner finish the plays holiday and iguodala will create. stand still, catch and shoot consistantly. (ray allen) maybe not on ray's level but a respectable level. If his catch and shoot percentages are poor, I'LL PASS! If cousin is actually 6'8", I'LL PASS! Wall altogether, I'LL PASS! Dumping Brand, Kapono and creating space for this market (ray allen and big baby) I WILL TAKE! OH YEAH VINCE CARTER IS A LOSER! BIG BABY DOES TWO THINGS TAKES AWAY FROM BOSTON AND MATCHES UP WITH HOWARD. combocancer1975
I can see it now. Stiffanski deals #2 and Iggy for a block of moldy cheese... Grazman
Thats it?!?! come on Kate, the first thing I thought of was what you were gonna say! do we trade igoudala now since turner would be our third 6-7 swing guard? do we potentially now have the best backcourt in the east in the next couple years? funnybeatmeup
I can see them getting rid of Iguadala at/before the trade deadline. Especially if he is playign well, Turner is playing well, and Young is playing well. Iguadala has reached as high as he is going to reach......and for $80MM that is not very high. Philly19131
Draft Turner and get rid of Iggy! ohiophilly
