Sixers Look To Run Against Bulls

There is no hidden mystery in the 76ers series with the Chicago Bulls in terms of strategy. The Sixers will attempt to run and the Bulls will try to turn it into a half-court game.

Sixers coach Doug Collins talked about the strategy following this morning's shootaround in preparation for tonight's Game 3 at the Wells Fargo Center, with the series tied one game apiece.

"We don't want to get in a half-court scrum with Chicago," Collins said. "They are bigger and stronger than us so they will want to mash us."

He said the more open court the Sixers can make it, the better.

In the Sixers opening 103-91 loss at Chicago, they outscored the Bulls 17-13 in fastbreak points.

During the Sixers 103-92 victory in Game 2, the margin was more pronounced. The Sixers held a 25-8 edge in fast break points.

"When they are good they will defend well, hold teams to shooting under 45 percent, they will rebound at both ends of the court and it will be the game they want to play," Collins said.

The one the Sixers want to play will be in the open court.
