Dallas has won five games in a row but the Mavericks will be shorthanded for tonight’s game at the Wells Fargo Center against the 76ers.
The Mavs will be without guards Jason Terry, Delonte West and Rodrique Beaubois. Terry has been bothered by a strained right quadriceps. West is suffering from a right finger injury and Beaubois is dealing with the recent death of his father.
One player who is expected to see more time is combination guard Dominique Jones, who is averaging 1.9 points per game. Jones did play 31 minutes in Wednesday’s 102-84 win over visiting Denver.
“He’s going to have be ready and play minutes,” Mavericks coach Rick Carlisle said after today’s shootaround. “The things he does well we need him do. He has to defend, guard their perimeter guys and he will also play the point.”
