VIDEO: ‘Dancing with the Stars’ results: goodbye Mr. Plinko

On a night of sheer insanity, only the elimination made sense

There was no way to prepare for the guest judge on Monday's Dancing with the Stars. Because if you're a fan of ballroom dancing or of marginal '90s celebrities, you're probably not into the music of LMFAO. But it was Party Anthem Night, and the ABC show was clearly willing to throw caution to the winds, so ladies and gentlemen, put your hands together for Redfoo! Uh, Redwho?

The guy with the crazy 'fro, the Elton John sunglasses, an open-chested vest, and spangly shorts. You know – traditional judging attire. Say hello, Len. As the night went along, it became apparent that Redfoo thought that "Whooooo!" made up a complete critical assessment.

Party on, 'foo.

If you were looking for perfection, it was Meryl Davis and Maksim Chmerkovskiy who accomplished the ideal score of 40. A lot of people felt Danica McKellar and Valentin Chmerkovskiy were robbed with a paltry 36. The clip below may not be the highest score but was in many ways the night's most astounding performance, a jive from Amy Purdy and Derek Hough.

In the end, it was Drew Carey sent packing along with Cheryl Burke, despite the fact that he got all daddy macked-up for Rick James' "Super Freak". (Hard to refer to anything Carey did on the floor as a swan song.) But he gave a very gracious farewell speech, thanking the show for letting him live out a fantasy of being a contestant and a further fantasy of holding Cheryl close.

Next week, Ricky Martin will be the guest judge. If I were NeNe Leakes or Candace Cameron Bure, I'd start practicing my Latin steps right away because they look like the most vulnerable. Right, 'foo?
