The Situation bolts ‘Jersey Shore’

POSTED: Friday, July 8, 2011, 10:44 AM

Do we have a Situation here or not?

There are conflicting reports that the Situation has exited MTV’s Jersey Shore. He left. He came back. He left again for good this time.

Yo, Mike, make up your freakin’ mind.

A show insider has told Us Weekly that the Situation has definitely left the building in Seaside Heights, in the middle of taping for the reality series' fifth season.

"Mike walked off the show,” said the source. “He's so over the whole thing.I don't think he's coming back. Everyone in the house is so unhappy."

He would be the second guido to fly the gilded cage this week, following a disgruntled Vinny Guadagnino. (See Vinny impersonate the Situation, below.)

Their departure would seriously imbalance the delicate gender balance on the Shore soap. (Shore and soap: those are two words that look funny together.)

How can the show go on without the Situation’s fridge pack? What would it take to lure him back? A lifetime supply of Captain Morgan rum and an ocean of bronzer?

Pony up, MTV.

From the little exposure I have to the show, I'm more interested in learning why Vinny left. He seems to be the only one with a few brain cells in the group.

'Drama' and scripted actions, not reality. Each year they need something new to keep viewers from flipping the remote. Violence, new locations, more violence, drama among different folks, arrests, more arrests, new relationships, old relationships rekindled, all with loads of 'Drama'. This is just another scripted move to accomplish that goal.

I according to MD20202020 am an UNEDUCATED PHILADELPHIAN because I don't watch the show. Wait, you watch reality shows, tell me how real Jon, Kate and their clan of robots are? All you need to do is go to a home in say West Philly and see that without turning on the tv. Reality tv is what it is, it is a perfect way to "dumbify" us all.

    wolfburn,

    Thanks for proving my point.

You are not an uneducated Philadelphian for not watching reality TV, however you have formed an uneducated opinion on reality TV because you state that you don't watch the shows or read about them. Since your opinion is uneducated, it is not based on any observations, or "homework, what value does it offer? Why share it?. How can you form an opinion on something which you admittedly know nothing about? A proper way to communicate this would be to say "I have never watched "Jersey Shore", what I have seen of it does not appeal to me". Is this clear to you?

Most people, myself included, read all the headlines and then choose if we want to read an article to obtain all the facts. The idea of a headline is supposed to go communicate the main idea behind the article. In this case The Situation has not left the Jersey Shore House, the headline is falsely communicating he has. It's irresponsible.

@MD20202020 anyone who call others uneducated and than follows that up with they think Jersey Shore is the best reality show next to Average Joe Hawaii is an idiot. I have never seen either show but I'm smart enough to know they are all trash shows just like all of reality tv. Reality TV in my mind is most shows the History Channel has on, anything on MTV should be classified as "Waist of time TV".

    ceez0341,

    Two things:
    1. I did not call anyone uneducated. I said Philadelphians love to oofer uneducated opinions.
    2. Closing your mind to the greatness that was Average Joe Hawaii is an ignorant mistake.
