The Magic Cyclops rocks 'American Idol'

You think you’ve seen bizarre contestants on Idol? Well, the Magic Cyclops who turned up last night for the auditions in Aspen stole the crazy cake.

The guy is like the missing member of Spinal Tap, starting with that ridiculous British accent. And his musical claim to fame? He owns 11,000 air guitars, a number exceeded only by some collector in Belgium.

Sadly Idol is a singing contest because I would really have liked to see him solo on some Zakk Wylde material. But here’s how the audition went.

I’m still in shock. Not only did they not vote Cy on to Hollywood, they actually left the room while he was still doing his thing. Hey, the minute he set off the posterior fireworks, I would have offered the guy his own show.
