Oprah joins Jimmy Kimmel after the Oscars

She joins Clooney, Streep, others as guests

Oprah joins Jimmy Kimmel after the Oscars

How late are you planning on staying up Sunday night? It might be worth hanging in even after The Artist is crowned the year’s best film. (Our film critic Steven Rea assures me that’s what will happen and he’s never wrong.)

Because after the party, there’s the after-party. Jimmy Kimmel Live: After the Academy Awards, an entertainment highlight going on seven years.

How funny is it? Ever see the Handsome Men‘s Club video Jimmy created for one of these post-Oscar specials? Clear your mouth of ingestibles and watch:

This year‘s edition of JKL will open with Billy Crystal and close with a performance by Colplay. Among the nominees in the house will be George Clooney, Meryl Streep and Martin Scorsese (I forgot to ask Mr. Rea if they will be winners by then.)

This morning ABC announced Oprah Winfrey will be joining in the fun and games.

BTW, there are rumors floating that Ms. O. is thinking of getting back into acting herself, contemplating a role in Philadelphia filmmaker Lee Daniel’s next project The Butler.
