It’s a girl for NBC’s Jenna Wolfe and Stephanie Gosk
The Today website is running a rather personal item this morning:
“Harper Estelle Wolfeld Gosk made her Today debut Thursday morning with her moms, sleeping in Jenna Wolfe's arms next to Stephanie Gosk.
‘This is the greatest gift,’ Jenna said. ‘Anyone who's a parent understands what I'm talking about.’
Stephanie was just as joyous.
‘We get paid in our jobs to come up with the right words, and all I keep saying is “Wow.”’ Stephanie explained. ‘I can't find the words.’
Back in March, Wolfe, a correspondent for Today’s weekend edition, came out as gay, simultaneously announcing that she was partners with NBC News foreign correspondent Stephanie Gosk and that they were expecting a baby together, conceived via artificial insemination. The new parents have declined to identify the donor.
Wolfe told Us Magazine that both she and Gosk were interested in being the biological mother. “We rock-paper,-scissored it,” Wolfe said. "I won 34-31, so I'm carrying the baby, bam!”
The girl was born on Wednesday night. And as you can see from this picture, which came from Gosk’s Twitter account, she’s already been on camera.
