Hope Solo and Abby Wambach get their kicks on Broadway
The stars of the U.S. Women’s Soccer team visit 'The Late Show'
It was a different kind of soccer shootout on Broadway in Manhattan last night.
David Letterman welcomed Hope Solo and Abby Wambach the stars of the U.S. Women's Soccer team that was upset this week by Japan in the World Cup finals.
After a fun interview, Dave took them out on Broadway to try to kick soccer balls into passing cabs.(see video, below) It was like a midway shooting gallery. The taxis are even the same color as the swimming duckies.
Before the competition began, Letterman logically asked Solo, a goalie, if she even has a legitimate kick, a question that clearly insulted her.
So she hiked up her skirt and…well, you'll see.
