Hollywood beauty January Jones gets ugly comment

January Jones in 'X-Men: First Class'

Everybody’s a critic. At least they are online. Rarely, though, do you see an influential writer/producer like Damon Lindelof (Lost) use social media as a platform to tee off on someone else in the Hollywood community. Whatever happened to professional courtesy?

In this case the victim was January Jones of Mad Men. She’s currently on screen in X-Men: First Class, the reigning box office champ. The beautiful blonde, dressed in a period miniskirt, plays the powerful but evil mutant Emma Frost (see her in trailer, below).

After seeing the film over the weekend, Lindelhof gratuitously slammed Jones’s performance on his Twitter page (@damonlindelof). Here’s the entry in its entirety:

"Emma Frost's THREE mutant powers: Telepathy, Transformation to Solid Diamond and last but not least, Sucking at Acting”

This afternoon a chastened Lindelof, one of the writers and producers of next month’s Cowboys & Aliens, had this to tweet:

“I need to stop saying mean things on Twitter. #MORNING AFTER.

Just wondering, Damon, apart from January’s performance, how’d you like the film?

"the powerful but evil mutant Emma Stone" - Sure, she possesses that rare combo of being both funny AND cute, but I don't think that qualifies Emma Stone for evil, mutant status, unless . . . .

I too know something that both January and Emma have in common: neither one would give ksam the time of day.

Not sure why it is news that Damon Lindelof stated his opinion! January is good to look at but a pretty bad actress. But she was not the only one that sucked in terms of acting Zoe Kravitz was pretty horrible also.

January Jones was terrible in her role although I've thought she had some talent on Mad Men. Of course, she was sharing scenery with Kevin Bacon frequently and and he was fantastic. That said, she didn't rise to the occasion at all. She has NO comedic timing. Yeah, she was that bad.

"As a producer and co-creator of ‘Lost’, Damon Lindelof cast Dominic Monaghan and Evangeline Lilly, so he knows a thing or two about people who can’t act,"

Ah yes, January Jones is a proud graduate of the "Keanu Reeves School of Acting for Beautiful People." It would be painful to watch if it were not for the fact that they are so darn attractive.
