A sweeps stunt requires a privacy curtain...and many guests
It's not often you can get guest stars to show up for a prostate examination. But last night Stephen Colbert brought out the the big guns for a November sweeps stunt that will not soon be forgotten.
It was of course inspired by the brave decision of Matt Lauer and Al Roker to undergo such a procedure on Today. They had a distinguished board licensed doctor (who made a surprisingly filthy joke about Lauer).
The Colbert Report had John Lithgow, Katie Couric and…the Black Keys?! (As you'll see, the duo adopted a name change for the night.)
But who to choose? Stephen settled on a Bachelor-like ceremony that was actually quite moving.
Thanks for sharing, Stephen. We smell another Peabody Award.
