TV Show Parks & Rec takes on soda taxes

Is offering a 512 ounce "child size" soda going too far?

NBC comedy "Parks and Recreation" last week lampooned the debates many cities -- including Philadelphia -- have had over soda taxes. Some of the jokes probably hit pretty close to home for Mayor Nutter, who has twice tried unsuccessfully to enact a soda tax.

In the episode, leading lady Leslie Knope (Amy Poehler) is struggling with whether to support a soda tax in the town of Pawnee, IN, and is faced with oppostion from local business leaders. Sound familiar? Check out the clip below, where Leslie discusses soda serving sizes with the town's restaurant association.
