State House Results

Here are the results from some of the night's competitive state House of Representatives elections.

Pam DeLissio, a health care consultant backed by Mayor Nutter, won a five-way race to take over the 194th District where state Rep. Kathy Manderino is set to retire after serving for 18 years. The district includes parts of Philadelphia and Montgomery counties, including East Falls, Roxborough, Wynnefield and Parkside. Manderino had also backed DeLissio for the seat.

With 96 percent of precincts reporting, DeLissio had 30 percent of the vote. Delissio — who received a late-in-the-day vote boost from Nutter — beat out ward leader and union organizer Lou Agre, who had substantial union and Democratic party support. She also won out over Josh Cohen, a former staffer for Councilman Curtis Jones Jr., carpenter Bill Morris and neighborhood activist Keith Newman.

One other state house seat was up for grabs — the 195th District, which covers parts of North Philadelphia, Fairmount and Mantua. State Rep. Frank Oliver, who has served 19 two-year terms in the seat, decided to step down at the end of this year. Oliver's longtime aide, Michelle Brownlee easily beat beat political consultant Anthony Ingargiola for the Democratic nomination. With 88 percent of precincts reporting, she had 66 percent of the vote.
