Santorum Heads Back To Iowa

In a move no doubt designed to fuel further speculation about his presidential ambitions, former U.S. Sen. Rick Santorum -- who lost his Pennsylvania seat to U.S. Sen. Bob Casey in 2006 -- is making another trip to Iowa, where he'll be speaking at an event sponsored by the Iowa Christian Alliance.

Santorum previously visited Iowa in the fall.

Rick Santorum Returns to Iowa
Former Senator to Headline Iowa Christian Alliance Spring Kick-Off

Washington, DC – Former Senator Rick Santorum will make a second trip to Iowa on March 9, 2010 to headline the Iowa Christian Alliance 2010 Spring Kick-Off. The event will take place at Walnut Creek Community Church, 900 64th Street in Windsor Heights from 5:30 PM – 7:30 PM CT.

"I look forward to returning to Iowa to speak to the Iowa Christian Alliance about how to best tackle the many issues that our nation is facing today including health care, national security and the attack on our culture," said Santorum.

"The event is shaping up to be top notch and having Rick Santorum on the stage is an exciting addition. We look forward to translating this kind of momentum into real results come November," said Steve Scheffler, President of the Iowa Christian Alliance.

Former Senator Santorum will also be meeting with Republican Party leaders during his visit.

Senator Santorum first visited Iowa in October, 2009 where he spoke to the American Future Fund as part of their Conservative Lecture Series. He also traveled to South Carolina in January to campaign for gubernatorial candidate Congressman Gresham Barrett and to headline a fundraising event for the South Carolina Republican Party.
