Gov. Ed Rendell said he was "optimistic but not overconfident" about the outcome in Philadelphia and Pennsylvania today. Rendell pulled up outside the Famous Deli at about 1:30 pm in a blue bus emblazoned with the words "On the Road to Change." He has been touring the region stumping for U.S. Sen. Barack Obama.
Rendell predicted a win for Obama in Pennsylvania, but perhaps not as big a victory as the polls suggest. He thinks Obama will win by 5 or 6 points. "I think we'll come out of Philadelphia, the suburbs and the Lehigh Valley with enough of a lead that we won't get caught statewide," Rendell said.
