PhillyClout asks pols 3 questions on election day

By tradition, PhillyClout visits the Famous Fourth Street Deli in Bella Vista and Relish in West Oak Lane to question politicians on Election Day. We asked three questions today. Here are the questions and answers:

1. Who will win the 2014 Democratic primary election for governor in Pennsylvania?

2. Who will win the 2015 Democratic primary election for mayor in Philadelphia?

3. What will Mayor Nutter do when he finishes his second term in January 2016?

District Attorney Seth Williams (seeking a second term today): 1. U.S. Rep. Allyson Schwartz in a close race with state Treasurer Rob McCord. 2. State Sen. Anthony Hardy Williams. 3. Don't know, maybe working with the Mayors Against Illegal Guns group.

State Sen. Larry Farnese: 1. McCord, with state Sen. Mike Stack as lieutenant governor. 2. Williams. 3. Professor at the University of Pennsylvania's Fels Institute of Government.

Former U.S. Rep. Marjorie Margolies (seeking her old 13th District seat in 2014): 1. I honestly don't know. There are three strong candidates -- Schwartz, McCord and former state Revenue Secretary Tom Wolf. 2. See the answer to the first answer. "You know I taught a course in how not to answer a question," said Margolies, who is on leave from Fels. 3. Anything he wants to do.

City Councilman Kenyatta Johnson: 1. I have no idea at the moment. It's a crowded field. 2. Williams. 3. I have no idea.

State Sen. LeAnna Washington: 1. Tom Wolf. 2. Williams. 3. That's a good question.

City Controller Alan Butkovitz (seeking a second term today and a potential 2015 candidate for mayor): 1. Schwartz. 2. I gotta consult with lawyers before I answer that question. 3. I just can't figure that one out.

Former District Attorney Lynne Abraham (also a potential 2015 candidate for mayor): 1. Schwartz but it's a long time from now and you have to watch out for McCord and former state Department of Environmental Protection Secretary Katie McGinty. 2. Maybe Lynne Abraham. Making a call on that very soon. 3. I haven't a clue.

State Sen. Anthony Hardy Williams (a likely 2015 candidate for mayor): 1. a Democrat. 2. A personality [like me] that sees the city not in the past, not in the present but in the future, where it's going. 3. I know he knows. He has a plan. I don't personally know what it is.

Council President Darrell Clarke (a rumored 2015 candidate for mayor): 1. It's still really wide open. 2. No idea. 3. I've been hearing all kinds of rumors, possibly running statewide.

Councilwoman Marian Tasco: 1. Rob McCord. That's who I'm rooting for. 2. I have no idea about that. ... The two future mayors I'd like to see are Cherelle Parker and Maria Quinones-Sanchez. 3. He can always teach at Penn.

Sheriff Jewell Williams: 1. Allyson Schwartz. But I still think Corbett has a good chance. 2. It seems like Tony Williams. 3. Probably teach.

State Rep. Cherelle Parker: 1. It's very difficult. After the financial reports are submitted, we will immediately see a Democratic frontrunner. 2. 2015 is so far. 3. Not sure if elected office is in his prospective future. He'll have a field of options.

Laborers business manager Ryan Boyer: 1. Too early. I'm leaning McCord. 2. In politics, that's a lifetime [away]. Williams is good. 3. Private sector.

Judicial candidate Timika Lane: 1. I don't know. 2. I'm always hoping Sen. Anthony Williams will run. 3. He's going to go an run Apple. He's the tech geek. He's the next Steve [Jobs], y'know, he's got the glasses.

Councilwoman Maria Quinones-Sanchez: 1. McCord. That's where I'm leaning. 2. Sen. Williams is the lead runner. 3. I hope he finds another place to continue his public service.

Gubernatorial candidate Tom Wolf: 1. Tom Wolf. 2. Tony Williams. 3. Private sector.

State Rep. Ron Waters: 1. Somebody who can win. I'm looking at Tom Wolf [literally and figuratively]. It takes a of money. 2. It's going to be Anthony Hardy Williams. I'm from that camp. 3. He's a public servant, and it's hard to walk away from that.

Councilwoman Blondell Reynolds-Brown: 1. A woman. 2. If Darrell Clarke runs, he wins. 3. An appointment in the Obama administration, given the work he did the second time around.

Philly NAACP head J. Whyatt Mondesire: 1. Nobody seems to have gathered the necessary head of steam. 2. It's between Tony Williams and Alan Butkovitz. 3. Teach.

Councilwoman Jannie Blackwell: 1. I don't know yet. 2. Depends whether or not Darrell Clarke gets in. Tony Williams has a good shot. Tom Know - he's the one person I wouldn't support. 3. There are so many rumors that he'll run for higher office. Or CCP. He's a young man.

U.S. Rep. Chaka Fattah: 1. Too soon to know. 2. I have no idea. [You?] No. I'm not contemplating it. 3. I would not rule out politics. ... He's very close to Hillary Clinton.

State Treasurer Rob McCord (a 2014 gubernatorial candidate): 1. McCord. 2 I don't know. 3. He will have some great options, including in the private sector.
