Oooooohklahoma!

Mayor Nutter today heads out for sunny Oklahoma City where he'll spend the weekend talking policy and knocking back drinks with the other members of the U.S. Conference of Mayors. We're sure he's thrilled to go west and get a break from budget debates and scuffles with City Council.

So to help him enjoy his time out there, PhillyClout decided to put together a little Oklahoma guide for the mayor. Here's our suggestions for a fun-filled weekend.

  1. Yee-hah! Nutter has to check out the National Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum. A current exhibit: "When Animals Attack? Humorous Hunting Tableaux."

  2. Hungry? We suggest Nutter sit back on a "redneck love seat" and chow down on some freedom fries at "Toby Keith's I Love This Bar and Grill." If it's good enough for Toby...

  3. The mayor could use a new look. How about a custom fitted cowboy hat from Shorty's Caboy Hattery, where they make some seriously cool looking custom headgear.

  4. What luck! There's a film festival this weekend in Oklahoma City. Given Nutter's recent quest to tax sugary drinks, we recommend "Fat, Sick and Nearly Dead," a documentary about an obese man trying to reclaim his health.
