Mayor Nutter appeared on Fox 29's Good Day Philadelphia this morning to talk about the current SEPTA and Philadelphia Parking Authority promotions, designed to get people out shopping this weekend. But Nutter got even more into the spirit -- he offered to take out to dinner tonight the first ten people to respond on a Fox 29 facebook page. Those folks and their guests -- 20 in total -- will be dining at Gigi's in Old City tonight.
Of course, Nutter's not actually paying. According to a Fox 29 publicist, the restaurant is picking up the tab.
UPDATE: Fox 29 now informs us that the mayor will be paying half the bill out of his own pocket.
