NYC Predicts $3.4 Billion in Stimulus Funds, How about Philly?

New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg held a press conference yesterday to say that NYC could get $3.4 billion in funding through the economic stimulus bill being considered in congress.

Check out the New York Times report here.

We checked with Mayor Nutter's press office to see if anyone locally has an estimate on how much funding Philly could get. No word yet, but we'll let you know if we hear anything...

UPDATE: We just spoke with Nutter, who said that he does not plan to announce Philly's stimulus expectations until they become reality.

"We've analyzed it, we know what all the categories are and we qualify for many of them," Nutter said. "It's pretty hard at this point, with confidence, to say what it's going to be."
