Dougherty to announce candidacy

In case you didn't already know he was in the race, union leader John Dougherty will officially announce his candidacy for state Senate next Tuesday at the Edward O'Malley Athletic Center.

According to the release, Doc used to play at that center and now he wants to run to save the children. But the best part of the announcement is the grandiose opening line: "And so it begins."
