Did Americans for Prosperity just give up on Pennsylvania?

Chuck Todd of MSNBC tweeted this morning that Americans for Prosperity, the conservative non-profit linked to billionaire brothers David and Charles Koch, is pulling from the airwaves in Pennsylvania the television commercials it has been running to criticize President Obama's record.

Here's the tweet: "Americans for Prosperity (the Koch group) has canceled the rest of their PA TV ad buy. Still up in other swing states including MN and NM."

Ben LaBolt, Obama's national campaign press secretary, quickly re-tweeted Todd's claim.

AFP didn't seem surprised by our phone call this afternoon to see if the tweet is accurate.  But the group didn't have a response handy.  We'll update when we know more.

"We're making changes to our ad flights frequently – nothing necessarily stays the same for long. Beyond that, we actually don't discuss details of our own internal strategy."
