PhillyClout just caught up with the two primary election winners of the day -- GOP candidates Michael Untermeyer, who is running for District Attorney, and Al Schmidt, running for City Controller.

Untermeyer said: "it's no more or less pressure than yesterday or tomorrow. For me, it's a marathon between now and November."

And Schmidt said he's looking forward to the Democratic results. "I can't wait until we know for sure who we're up against for the rest of the year."

As we all know, Republicans have a hard time in this town. Appropriately, Untermeyer's victory party is at the Dark Horse, located on Second Street near South, tonight.
