Cop killer John "Jordan" Lewis is sentenced to death.  We take a look at his transformation from from "bumbling fool" to violent menace.

A Philadelphia police officer being investigated for fatally shooting a young man during a Port Richmond brawl has been involved in seven citizen complaints.

A boxer who died after a bout at the Blue Horizon has his organs donated to save others.

Mensah Dean described Chuck Cassidy's wife in the courtroom giving her victim impact statement as sounding like a "disapproving teacher." I don't know if Dean has contempt for teachers or just widows of officers killed in the line of duty. It's odd the filter of some of the writers for the two local papers. You have to try to imagine the point of view of the poor reader who understands that the rule of law allows the death penalty and who is just reading the paper, and is not on some crusade of contempt to try to overturn it using sarcasm.

Philadelphia has a State Parolee Crime PROBLEM...we have been oversaturated with Inmates that should be in Prison for YEARS! They are being released by Rendell at the rate of 2,000 per month...AND not sent back for Parole Violation no matter what! Case in Point...the latest brave Philadelphia Police Officer to be shot...in the face...by yet another State Parolee...Anthony Reid is under State Parole Supervision for ...you guessed it...ROBBERY and of course he was MINIMUM Supervision and he's now being looked at for more Robberies. Williams and the third Robber are also probably State Parolees. The Mayor, City Council, State Legislature and TOM Corbett (State Attorney General...who's running for Governor and not much else) have all been told, with evidence, for over 18 months now and they all have done nothing. When is the U.S. Attorney's Office going to step up? When will they investigate "The Rendell Murders"? We've bled enough and burried enough of our death so Rendell can line his pocket with "No Bid" contracts. He's been releasing stone thugs to save State Budget funds for these contracts. There are over 9,000 State Parolee not really being supervised in Killadelphia right now…also over 500 DOC and State Parolee Escapees. There are also over 49,000 Probationers. We have 1/6th the population of New York City, but 6 times the crime…why? Unsupervised State Parolees. The U.S. Attorney Office phone # 215-861-8200. President's Comment Line = 202-456-1111. Hit the Email button above and ask Mike.Levy@usdoj.gov to investigate "The Rendell Murders". The life and family you save may well be your own. The next State Parolee Murder is certain and soon.

I belive he was very wrong in taking Officer Cassidy's life but I don't believe he deserved the death penalty. Life in prison would have been fine.
