The PhillyClout What-The-Heck End-Of-Year Haiku Contest

We here at PhillyClout know two things -- some of us are stuck in the office in the run-up to New Year's Eve and everyone loves haikus. You want proof? We give you Brett Mandel, Philadelphia Forward founder and 2009 Democratic primary candidate for City Controller. Our haiku this afternoon prompted this response from Mandel:

The city was broke

But new contracts cost millions

What about Plan C?

If that doesn't make sense to you, you have no idea how lucky you are.  But if this and other city woes or bright spots along the way in 2009 spark a little creativity, we say let it hang out there.  Whip up a haiku and we'll see if its fit for publication on this, your most favorite blog of 2009.  Zap your ideas to us here.
