The state Democratic Party is asking delegates for Sen. Hillary Clinton to hold off on signing a petition that would help have her name placed into nomination at the Democratic Convention. An email from Mary Isenhour, executive director of Pennsylvania Dems, told Clinton delegates that Gov. Rendell wanted them to wait until it is clear what Clinton and presumptive nominee Sen. Barack Obama have worked out for the convention.

If Clinton wants her name placed in nomination at the convention, she must submit a written request accompanied by 300 signatures. The negotiations over her role at the convention continue. She will make a prime time speech on the second night.

According to the New York Times delegate tracker, Clinton won 85 delegates in Pennsylvania and Obama won 73.

If her name is placed in nomination she is required to leave the convention and won't be able to deliver her "all about me" speech. At least those are the rules for mortals

Mutt
Hillary is making sure to do just about anything she can to keep the party from unifying and moving on to defeat McCain. I'm getting close to being done with the trainwreck that the Democratic Party has become.
