Register of Wills Gives Up City Car

Add Register of Wills Ron Donatucci to the list of city elected officials who have given up their city cars. Donatucci says he will return his 2002 Crown Victoria to the city fleet within the next two weeks, to help reduce his expenses during the city's financial crisis.

Mayor Nutter last week announced reductions to the city fleet and called on elected officials to consider giving up their vehicles. Councilman Frank DiCicco returned his car late last year. Several other council members do not drive city issued cars -- Jim Kenney, W. Wilson Goode Jr. and Bill Green.

Donatucci has already taken a five percent pay cut and his staffers are taking furlough days.
