Q-Poll: Obama leading Romney in PA, FL and OH

POSTED: Wednesday, June 27, 2012, 7:49 AM

A new Quinnipiac University Poll of swing states in the 2012 presidential election shows President Obama leading his Republican challenger, former Mass. Gov. Mitt Romney, in the key states of Pennsylvania, Ohio and Florida.  But Obama still fails to get over 50 percent of the support in those three states.

The poll found Obama up on Romney 45-39 percent in Pennsylvania, 47-38 percent in Ohio and 45-41 percent in Florida.  Obama fell by two points in Pennsylvania, compared to a May 3 Quinnipiac Poll but gained ground in Florida in Ohio. The May poll had those states too close to call.

Obama has held a consistent lead in Pennsylvania.  But that doesn't mean voters here are thrilled with his first term in the White House.  His job approval rating is still in the negative, 45–49 percent. And 45 percent of voters say Obama deserves reelection while 47 percent say he does not.

“President Barack Obama has decent margins over Gov. Mitt Romney in Ohio and Pennsylvania and a smaller advantage in Florida. If he can keep those leads in all three of these key swing states through election day he would be virtually assured of re-election,” said Peter A. Brown, assistant director of the Quinnipiac University Polling Institute.

The Associated Press reported this morning that Obama will launch a two-day campaign bus tour next week through Pennsylvania and Ohio.

LoL...Didn't like Bush and not a huge fan of Romney, but Obama is going to get smoked in Nov. The silent majority has had enough of his "selective enforcement" of law, catering to the lowest common demoninator, socialist job killing programs, polarizing of American voters and lack of appreciation/protection for small biz owners and entraprenuers and the jobs they create (remember they are, according to Obama the "engines of recovery"). Obama has been the single largest mistake since Carter and he can take all his empty useless sound bites "Summer of Recovery" and "Hope and Change" with him.

Pray rather than ranting! Praying to god and Wallstreet money are the only thing that can save Romney :-)

Correction! God is on the side of the poor and weak; so only Wallstreet money can save Romney :-)

Bain Capital / Payday Loan may pour millions to save Romney.

Sheldon and his million from gambling may save Romney.

Gamblers and speculator are the only one on Romney's side. Pray to Wallstreet for more money.

Who cares about Bain Capital (that's the new Haliburton word for this election). Mitt Romney was gone two years before some of the companies went down you uninformed lib! What Mitt did in his past is NOTHING compared to what Pres. Obama is doing: destroying our nation one piece at a time and on a daily basis. He is a puppet for the socialists/marxists he has appointed into positions of power. He has destroyed our Constitution. He rules by fiat. He has destroyed our healthcare instead of just helping figure out a way to get those 30million into the rolls he destroyed the entire system to rebuild it so that the gov't can rule over your healthcare choices. Pres. Obama has clearly intersected each & every aspect of our lives. We have lost freedoms & liberties. Libs are fools, think like fools, act & sound like fools. Michael Savage is right in his book: "Liberalism is a mental disorder." There is no common sense in liberalism and they are too "intelligent" to figure it out.

I agree. Remember the polls in Wisconsin favoring the democrat candidate for governor. Scott Walker won that re-call election (thank God). Polls in our liberal media mean nothing. This president is going down in Nov. Hard working Americans do not want a socialist nation
They do not want to be ruled by Union thugs, special interests and people who do not want to work for their money. Obama's time is coming to an end. The Inquirer will say and print anything to get people to think their way and that is easy in this city where the liberal elitists think they are smarter and everyone agrees with them. They are fools. The Useless Idiots of our time. In order to save our country from the re-distributive dems/libs we MUST vote every single democrat out of office. Pelosi killed SanFrancisco & she is determined to kill America.

You're right. We can only fix those things if we oust all the republicans vying to keep us in ghettos and bad schools, not just Romney.

Keep dreamin'. Obama has presided over one of the worst Presidencies in history (and that's saying alot b/c Bush was bad too). The unfortunate thing is the Banking Community lobbied (using $180MM) to get Congress and Clinton to repeal Glass Stegal in 1999. Its been a unmitigated disaster since then and Americans are to stupid and ignorant to know the Banking community (where ironically Obama is getting most of his campaign money from) is 100% responsible for this economic nightmare.

Oh God, not another totally useless "poll". The only "poll" that matters are those legal voters who care enough to vote actaully vote in November. All these "polls" are just total BS and are skewed to produce the desired result....

no one seems to remember the mess that bush left. and the republicans blocking him every step of the way. they choose power over recovery. this is the worst economic turndown since the 30's. with little help from Congress and a shaky europe, it's going to take time.

obama's democrats controlled both houses of congress for two years, and had a filibuster-proof majority in the senate after specter flipped. what's your next excuse for this buffoon?

I agree. Obama gave republicans way more say than they ever deserved and now were paying the price. I hope he doesn't make that same mistake again.
