Politico reports this afternoon that Nathan Kleinman, a member of Occupy Philly and a former staffer to former State Rep. Josh Shapiro's legislative team and former U.S. Rep. Joe Sestak's unsuccessful 2010 run for the U.S. Senate, will challenge U.S. Rep. Allyson Schwartz in the April 24 Democratic primary election for the 13th House district in Philadelphia and Montgomery County.

Today is the first day to circulate nominating petitions to gain a spot on the primary ballot.  Those signatures must be submitted by Feb. 14.  Kleinman needs 1,000 signatures from registered voters in the district to challenge Schwartz's bid for a fifth two-year term in Congress.
