BOYLE CHALLENGES PERZEL TO DEBATE

July 30, 2010 - Democratic candidate for state representative in the 172nd District Kevin Boyle is challenging indicted Republican incumbent state Representative John Perzel to debate. Boyle is open regarding the frequency and style of debates between he and Perzel.

"John Perzel has a lot of questions to answer. A grand jury determined there was enough evidence to hold Perzel for trial on 82 different crimes which took $10 million from taxpayers. If Perzel wants the people of our district to give him another term, then he owes the voters an explanation. Furthermore, how does Perzel plan to be a full time state representative while he's attending his trial for weeks and months fighting to stay out of jail. The problems of unemployment, crime, and neighborhood quality of life demand a full time representative. I can and will be that voice while Perzel simply can not."

Boyle and Perzel face each other in the November 2 General Election. District 172 includes portions of the following Northeast Philadelphia neighborhoods: Mayfair, Tacony, Holmesburg, Lexington Park, Holme Cirlce, Academy Gardens, Bustleton, Fox Chase, and Rhawnhurst.
