Obama camp calls Romney PAC TV ads in PA 'desperate'

POSTED: Monday, October 29, 2012, 11:51 AM

Restore Our Future, a political action committee run by supporters of Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney, is putting $2 million into television commercials in Pennsylvania in the last week of the race, with more than half of the money going to the Philadelphia market.  President Obama will also start running ads in Pennsylvania, campaign manager Jim Messina said in a conference call with reporters Monday morning.

"They understand that they're not going to win in Ohio so now they're getting desperate," Messina said. "They are not close in Pennsylvania. We are going to win Pennsylvania."

David Axelrod, Obama's senior campaign adviser, said the Democratic ads are a "precaution."

"We're not going to surrender any state to them in terms of airways," Axelrod said. "Make no mistake about it. This isn't a sign of strength on their part. It's a sign of weakness. They're looking for a way out."

If Romney is winning Ohio, why is he investing in PA. He can win 270 electoral vote just with OH.

Is Romney having problem in VA as well? Yes, he is trailing there as well.

He is trailing everywhere except NC and marginal lead in FL.

Popping baloon that the lying Mor*mon and his moronic followers try to float is always fun :-)

By the way, I am all for the lying Mor*mon importing his Cayman money to invest in PA.

David Axelrod, like George Costanza, works on the opposite theory....so, if he says it's a precaution, then, you know he is very worried about Penna. If he says it's a sign of weakness on the other side, then Romney is closing fast. Everything is a Seinfeld!!!

Romney is trailing 54% to 39% in early voting; about 40% vote will be cast early.

Would the Rasmussen fantasy lead of 2% be enough to win OH? How do you make up 10% deficit with a last minute 2% lead?

If you can believe in Romney's job plan and budget deficit, I guess you can believe anything :-)

As a Texan, who used to live in Chester County, I am glad to see the comments above. Just a few short years ago, almost everyone on here was drinking the Obama Kool-aid. Now, everyone is figuring out that the Obama Kool-aid is really antifreeze. Hopefully those percentage points for Romney keep going up in order to balance out the 100 percent to 0 percent advantage Obama has with dead voters in Philadelphia. A few more days and this will be all over but the countdown to January 21, 2013 and a new era.

funny..you come to Philadelphia for an education, but then go back to that hole in the ground known as texas; with its $20B budget deficit..cant blame the D's and Obama on that one either.

    Southern States are our Greece.

Southern States leeches on the tax dollars from the north. Their "conservative" fiscal policies have put them in permanent 3rd world financial situation. It does not work without the aid from the north.
