Nutter To Fulfill World Series Bet This Afternoon

As if the Phillies losing wasn't bad enough, Mayor Nutter is set to fulfill his World Series bet with New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg this afternoon. Nutter and Bloomberg agreed that the mayor of the losing team would participate in a service project in the winning city, wearing the victorious team's jersey.

Nutter will help paint the Albert Einstein School in the Bronx, NY at 3 p.m. in the Yankee pinstripes. He will also pay for lunch for Bloomberg and the other volunteers.

    A much better bet and contribution than the typical foodstuffs exchanged between mayors. At least there's benefit to a school here. Nice job all. We'll see you back in Philly after your day helping out the kids in NYC.

    @Andy1974: Lunch costs what? Maybe $20-$25 tops? You think we can pay for a parade with that? Let's say our Mayor Nutter and Mayor Bloomberg really do it up and pay... $100 for lunch. Will that cover parade costs. C'mon, get real.
