I don't get the way the paper covers racism incidents. On the one hand, the swim club was headlined as a incident involving racism or alleged racism. But in the matter of South Philly High, it's typecast as "violence" or "racial tension" as though it were both sides causing it. Then there's the matter of even naming the race of both parties. The predominantly white swim club and predominantly black day care were termed as such from the start. But the initial coverage of the "violence" at S. Philly High was by a group of unknown race or races. What gives? Meanwhile, TV and Radio coverage was all over this. CleanupPhilly
If the editors of both papers agree that you don't solve the problem of racial hatred by ignoring it, why are they doing exactly that? CleanupPhilly
