Mayor Nutter takes a holiday...

POSTED: Monday, August 6, 2012, 4:34 PM

PhillyClout hears that Mayor Nutter is out of the office at the moment on summer vacation with his family.

Official details on the trip are scant, as usual. The mayor is likely away for two weeks, though staffers tell us that even when Nutter is on vacation, he’s usually checking email and is rarely out of touch for long. Just where he went is unknown for now. In previous years he has jetted to Aruba and Mexico.

Nutter’s press office declined to comment on the mayor’s whereabouts, calling it a private matter.

What will Catherine Lucey do without her man Mayor Nutter? No cheerleading for him for two full weeks.

Outsourching his vacation? Nowhere in the US of A is good enough for him?

If he has his security detail with him, its a public matter since we most likely are paying for their vacation.

It's too bad the murders in Philadelphia aren't taking a vacation, too. How can our mayor take a vacation when people are dying on the streets, and he's not doing his job? It's an abomination that Mayor Nutter "takes" a vacation when he's already taken time off from his duties as mayor to be the Campaigner-in-Chief for Obama in Texas, Florida and Washington, DC, among other places.
