Kenney tells Chick-fil-A president to take a hike
Jan Ransom
Chick-fil-A president Dan Cathy’s recent comments about gay marriage has caused quite a stir across the country and has City Councilman Jim Kenney fired-up.
Last week during a radio show Cathy said, "I think we are inviting God's judgment on our nation when we shake our fist at Him and say, 'We know better than you as to what constitutes a marriage,'" Cathy said. "I pray God's mercy on our generation that has such a prideful, arrogant attitude to think that we have the audacity to define what marriage is about."
Cathy later said that he is supportive of the "biblical definition of the family unit."
"It is with profound disillusionment and a sense of deep sadness that I write this letter in response to your recent comments. Last week you expressed support for denying gay Americans the prized right of marriage that heterosexual couples in this country so freely take for granted."
"As an American you are legally entitled to your opinion, regardless of how insensitive and intolerant it may be, but as a fellow American and an elected member of Philadelphia City Council; I am entitled to express my opinion as well. So please – take a hike and take your intolerance with you. There is no place for this type of hate in our great City of Brotherly Love and Sisterly Affection."
And when City Council returns in September, Kenney said he will introduce a resolution condemning Cathy and the company. Check out the rest of Kenney’s letter here.
Jim, your statement says it all
"As an American you are legally entitled to your opinion", thats exactly what he gave "his opinion" just like you gave yours. Ammendment freedom of speech ring a bell,
"There is no place for this type of hate in our great City of Brotherly Love and Sisterly Affection" over 300 murders in philadelphia this year and you call it City of Love, get a grip and stop drinking the coolade and deal with the real issues sinking this once great vibrant city. tony110570
gay marriage is the straw man here. The issue is wether the government can discriminate against private thought and speech of a citizen and/or company based on their religious beliefs. When we start letting them, we have become what Orwell wrote about. joe.shea
Exact same position as candidate Obama four years ago. I don't remember any protests. Or maybe we all understood he was lying. joe.shea
In every state where gay marriage has been subject to popular vote it has lost...every state, every time. You can't say that all those voters...the majority of americans are homophobic...that is getting tired. Many, if not most of those voters support civil unions but not redefining a basic institution. tongo

Boy, will you be surprised! Bildad
"The rest of us will actually exercise compassion for other human beings while he and his fellow Christians do what they do best." ???
How smugly arrogant... and WRONG!
Multiple studies have shown that Christians are the most charitable of groups in the world, and they're also much more tolerant than Leftists in general, and homosexuals in particular.
I don't like pointing that out as our good works are "as filthy rags" in Gods sight, we have ALL sinned and fall short of the glory of God.
No one is born a Christian. We all have had to come to a point in time when we repented (recognized that we were sinners and were truly sorry that we ever broke His law)
...and we BELIEVED and accepted that His sacrifice on the cross was payment for our sins.
According to the Bible, that's how one is Saved, Forgiven by God, Born Again, etc, etc.
So, we're no more deserving than anyone else. I just hate to see some self-righteous jerk falsely claim that they're better than others. Bildad
So, I guess that we will ignore the Bible when it calls homosexuality as an abomination. No where in the Bible dose it say to hate homosexuals, but love them and share Christ with them and everyone.
That is primarily what Dan Cathy is saying. According to news accounts, he has gays on the workforce.
So why are we fighting about the way one person is running his company the way God teaches and not the way that Government (also Obama) wants to run our lives and forget the Constitution of USA that says "Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness" not enslavement by the Government. wally4708
It all about the gay vote. BroBilal
Jim Kenney, you rock !!! All the homophobic, right-winged jerks keep saying how they are going to "eat more chicken" in response... Haha, enjoy obesity, you discriminatory losers. mtbljr
Jim Kenney, you rock !!! All the homophobic, right-winged jerks keep saying how they are going to "eat more chicken" in response... Haha, enjoy obesity, you discriminatory losers. mtbljr
Jim Kenney, this is America and the president of Chic-fil-A has a right to his opinion. You have nothing better to do than get involved in something that is not even newsworthy? I wonder what would be said if the president stated he totally supports gay marriage. You do not have to be a Christian be be against gay marriage or union. It is really sickening how this issue is being shoved down our throats. I don't go to Chic-fil-A but maybe I need to. This is ridiculous. Bob H
On a related note: Obama's main man, the Mayor of Chicago, again proves why these folks should not be leading anything. Chicago is involved in some of the worst murder violence in it's history..AND it is BLACK on BLACK!!! Rombo has time for this issue??? Get rid of these LIBS who are the most hypocritical fools who ever walked the earth!!! sarah89- I think the ire of the posters has to do with kenney being a moron---the city and the council doesn't need to stick their fat summer vacationing behinds into something that has nothing to do with their work managing a city.
- .
.
.
.
“I think the ire of the posters has to do with”
the fact that they want Kenney to shut the he// up
about some religious moron,
either because they themselves are religious morons,
or they think that Kenney does not have
constitutional freedom of speech just because he is
a councilman ,
which would make those people constitutional morons.
So there you have it !
Either way the mirror says moron
when they look into it.
The man is entitled to his opinion. I've never been in a chick fil a as I don't do fast food in general. If we banned companies because of some thoughts the ceo's had, there would be NO businesses anywhere. I agree though, stick to city business. Lil Bobby
The Christian "God", who Mr. Cathy believes is against allowing gays to marry, is also against divorce. Divorce is a legally accepted part of our society.
I think divorce, allowing married people to split up, is certainly far more harmful to the sanctity of marriage than allowing a gay couple to marry and enjoy the benefits of marriage.
So why isn't Mr. Cathy out protesting against divorce?
Maybe because this whole thing is not really about marriage, it is about intolerance of and hate for a group of people that have a different sexual preference than Mr. Cathy and the rest of the hate-mongers.
It is so sad that in 2012 our society still has not progressed past this silliness. BJG- As a Christian, I believe you have a good point (i.e. God Hates Divorce).
But both are wrong in Gods sight and I don't believe that Mr. Cathy is out protesting Gay marriage. I think that you have made a false accusation against him and the Bible has some things to say about that as well.
And while we're on the subject of tolerance, recent research confirms that Christians are the most tolerant, most charitable, and most people studied.
Care to guess who came up as most INTOLERANT?
That's right, LEFTISTS in general (and homosexuals in particular) are the most intolerant.
So, you can stop trying to award us the Intolerant Hate-Monger trophy and just put it right back in your trophy-case. Bildad - Thank you for voicing your opinion and I will be sure to pass your email onto Councilman Kenney. Our office actively helps constituents of the city every day with many different issues. As a staffer for the councilman I can tell you first hand the tireless hours we spend on issues concerning our city. The councilman stated his opinion as is he right. Again thank you for voicing yours. Have a great day.
Why are the gay people so intolerant? robwood
The Chick Fil-A CEO has the right to express his opinions, as does Kenney. If people want to patronzie or boycott the restaurant based upon this, that certainly their right as well, and I respect that. Having City Council waste time on this is another issue entirely yet typical for the cesspoll that is the Philadelphia political machine. The Edifier
Okay so this man and his company is being condemned because he stated what he believed. People need to get off their high horse and realize that everyone is entitled to their own opinion and everyone is entitled to oppose or agree with it. Get over it! Justmy2cents
James Kenney is a cartoon character--typical useless Philly pol. And how much did we pay him for his twitter account? barneygoogle
Down with Chick-fil-A!!! They recently filed a lawsuit against a sustainable, small time, Vermont based t-shirt company that printed the slogan "Eat More Kale" on their t-shirts. Chick-fil-A claims that this slogan infringes on their ad campaign "Eat More Chikin". Bringin' down the little guy? TAKE A HIKE! Kaleeb Macataveesh

I fully support gay marriage, religious liberty and freedom of expression; as stated in our constitution and defended by the blood of a whole lot of Philadelphians and others for over 200 plus years. But as for this low down political hack, Kenney... what a sanctimonious, self serving "troll". Oh wait, he is a politician. That explains it. Lately, these drones on City Council know and care not a whit about everyone's constitutional rights.
A denoument': "There is no place for this type of hate in our great City of Brotherly Love and Sisterly Affection.", (Kenney letter). Does this mean that only a "brother" can love and a "sister" must be limited to affection? Mr. Kenney, you are as shallow as pond scum.

Just keep in mind-franchisees own the Chick-fil-a restaurants. So if you boycott them you are hurting someone who may not even have that opinion. hiphop_JORGE
Christ commanded us to "Preach the Gospel" (not give OUR interpretation of it) obviously we don't know what that means,,so here goes,,,
The word gospel derives from the Old English gōd-spell [4] (rarely godspel), meaning "good news" or "glad tidings". It is a calque (word-for-word translation) of the Greek word εὐαγγέλιον, euangelion (eu- "good", -angelion "message"). The Greek word euangelion is also the source (via Latinised evangelium) of the terms "evangelist" and "evangelism" in English. The authors of the four canonical Christian gospels are known as the four evangelists.
"Originally, the gospel was the good news of redemption through the propitiatory offering of Jesus Christ for one's sins, the central Christian message".
GUESS THAT WAS FORGOTTEN SOMEWHERE ALONG THE WAY,, (no pun intended).

As a christian I am obligated NOT TO MARRY ANOTHER MAN. I am also obligated to "get" (introduce by words AND BY ACTIONS) people to JESUS, only he can heal them, only he can clean them up. For me to attempt to force MY Christian lifestyle on others smacks of selfrighteousness. Read 1 Corinthians 13,,,, he who has an ear let him hear. A one word hint to the secret of Christ that so many of the selfrighteous amongst us miss,,,,LOVE,,, without it one is, as Christ put it "WHITED SEPULCHRES. phillyroni
Absolutely despicable for these grandstanding gutless political hacks throughout this country to publicly berate Cathy for voicing his anti=same=sex marriage position. These politicians and their ilk are far worse for society than Cathy = and far more honest. zen
I never knew Kenney was gay! Ralph 1
LUV comments... usually so much more informative than the articles! Seems like us regular folk want any and all business to invest in city and let the worker and buyer decide whether to subscribe. Oh but to bring religious/ political affiliations to light, w/o a public gatekeeper like Kenney assumes to be, or newspaper articles like this, would mean grass root effort to raise awareness when a biz like chickfila is already around the corner. Curves is another one that subscribes to neo xtian practices.....are they in
Philly? I am interested in the "ripple" affiliations of the people I support with my transactions....I also like chicken sandwiches...what to do? hmmm- Do you really read the comments?
Which do you enjoy the most, the lefty liberal loonies or racist right wingnuts? Ralph 1
I can't wait to eat chik fil a! Mayfairnomo
I think Cathy should consider trying to make some spicy waffle fries and throw them on the menu. Oh....and I agree with his views on gay marriage. But let's get working on the seasoned waffle fries too. jimbo jones
Romans 1:18-32 says it all about what God thinks about homosexuality in the Christian belief. It's a choice one makes that will determin their enternal future. Mr. Cathy is entitled to his belief, and what he says is not targeting anyone choosing this lifestyle because he know God has given us all a free will to choose, so i don't know why he is being chastised for this. i would be more concern about the political corruption and how tax payers are being spent than about his comments or personal belief. God bless you Mr. Cathy! At least you have the guts to stand up for your belief and keeping the faith! By the way, your chicken sandwich and waffle fries are the best! dmr174- Sorry but Romans 1:18-32 explains WHY homosexuality exists in society. "For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness;" THE EVIL AND REFUSAL "BY SOCIETY IN GENERAL TO ACCEPT GOD" caused him to,,, For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: IF WE WANT TO FIND THE "TRUE" REASON THAT HOMOSEXUALITY EXISTS,, ALL WE HAVE TO DO IS LOOK IN THE MIRROR. WORD !!! Need more proof and an answer as to what Christians need to do,, read 2 Ch 7:14.
If my people,, etc,, etc. phillyroni - Of course no one will follow the instructions of 2 Chronicles 7:14 because of what Matthew 15:7-9 predicts. To easy to hate others and feel above them to trust God to do what he says that he will do.
[Ye] hypocrites, well did Esaias prophesy of you, saying, This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with [their] lips; but their heart is far from me. But in vain they do worship me, teaching [for] doctrines the commandments of men.
Christian Conservatives,,, what a joke. If this bunch touched a Bible it would explode.

Does anyone find Kenney a little hypocritical? He is telling Cathy to take a hike based on him being intolerant towards gay marriage. But isn't he being intolerant towards Cathy and his religious beliefs when he tells him to take a hike. I love how if anyone has any morals or beliefs that differ from liberal media they are cast out. How fitting that Lisa Henson also has turned her back on Cathy....she's a puppet like Kermit and the rest of the gang. jimbo jones
Kenney blasts Chick-Fil-A for being "intolerant". What does Kenney call what he's doing, trying to damage a privately held company because the owner exercised his first amendment right to express and opinion. Intolerant, maybe? Stupid....narcissistic....mean-spirited? Definitely. zorba
Eh intolerant bigots: You mean "the sanctity of marriage", as in Newt Gingrich or Rush Limpbaugh's version?!?!?!?!?!? Get over it!!! chris-odessa, ua- AMEN..One left his wife on her "death bed" to marry his young sweetheart. Both are divorced !!
Guess he never read Malachi 2:14-17,, phillyroni
MikeP, you are the real bigot here. You seem to suggest that homosexuals are neither worthy nor capable of living according to the demands of the Christian Gospel, so you dumb Christianity down or suggest there are no demands whatsoever. You're the typical liberal pseudo-believer who wants Easter without Good Friday, forgiveness without repentance, and salvation without conversion. DameB
Why does Freedom of Speech not apply to conservative beliefs??
Hey Kenney, you and your co-workers have an intolerance for your true taxpayers while you cater to the non-taxpayers. There's no place for that here either because you can easily see what that has gotten Phila.....thousands of taxpayers moving out and the city going broke. keapitreal
So Kenney's emotions are more important than the jobs of the people at the 7 CFA locations in Philly? Maybe he should let people have their personal opinions and keep the business of the company and the city out of it. AvoidSundanceVacations- Said Kenney: "There is no place for this type of hate in our great City of Brotherly Love and Sisterly Affection."

These political hacks should be out every night marching in those neighborhoods where the thugs have taken over the City and are laughing at the law. They should be leading pickets outside every dope house and nuisance bar. They should be taking the train to Harrisburg and DC getting our tax money back to hire more police and fire personnel. After they do this, then they can wolf chicken vendors. BillyBob369
I hope this keeps going and Chick-Fil-A's are banned throughout all the major cities. ej610- As of this morning, there were 202 homicides in this town. Last night, two brothers - 17 and 11 years old, respectively - were gunned down in West Philly. Today, Jim Kenney wrote a letter to the Chick-Fil-A president. Priorities, councilman. Priorities. Wyatt9
I understand people want to follow the bible. Of course only the parts of the bible they like, the rest they ignore. But those beliefs should not impede others rights. Yes, Cathy can express his opinions and he like everyone else has to hear the backlash. Jim is speaking up because just like the people had to stand up for race equality, stand up to the massacre of Jews in World War II. Cathy can say his opinion, but we should not be silent about our distaste for discrimination in any form. lane301
Kenney's just being a self promoting dbag. At least he's not trying to ban Chick-Fil-A like that un-American mongoloid slob mayor of Boston. Mr. Smith
Besides Mark Squilla, and they run neck-to-neck, Kenney is the worst Councilman this city has ever seen. Get rid of those Johnny Doc ploitcal hacks ! Fred Druding, Jr.
Typical fat mouth politician (regardless of party) trolling for votes. Nothing more to it. teksys
How tolerant of democrat Kenney is of opposing views. These liberals only are tolerant when you agree with them. They are the thought police!!!
The president of Chick-fil-A has as much to his opinions and beliefs as anyone else.
I wonder when these liberal democrats will start placing an SS on their collars... DrBID- Jimmy, you've been, and continue to be, one of the biggest zeroes in Council. You get elected because of your name recognition but you've contributed virtually nothing to the City. You scream out once In awhile so people know you are still alive. It's truly a crime that you take up valuable space in Council which can be used by someone who can actually contribute something. Look at what you've done for the City since you've been elected and then hang your head in shame.
I have a couple of gay friends who eat a Chick Fil-A and actually onnvinced me to go there to eat because I hate chicken! and I'm positive that the company has gay employees working side by side with their religious conservative employees. In fact, their religious right employees might be the gay ones. Too bad, it's a really tasty product served in a clean environment. Oh well, back to beef and fish. Golly, they had great cole slaw and iced tea too and if you mix iced tea with the lemonade fresh squeezed you get a delicious drink. Go back to the "big chicken" Cathy! BigDipper
I'm glad to see that Kenney has solved all of the other problems of this city and has time to focus on a resolution in the next month or so. Meanwhile, I'll take a small chocolate shake! Taxpaying Voter
Kenney is a genius for distacting the public from the murder rate in Philly. Bread and Circus. Go forbid he should takle some real issues here. Phishface
Another of Philly's incompetent politicians shooting off their mouth. Rather try to run the likes of Chick Fil-A out of town then deal with the all the crime, corruption and crud. Philly you deserve what you elect. Furthermore, "City of Brotherly Love and Sisterly Affection" - that's a joke. Hasn't been that for at least 50 years and then some. irishman70
There's your famous liberal tolerance on full display. Demand it for their point of view but refuse to extend it to those with opposing points of view. How decidedly hypocritical. freesia
Pot calling the kettle. Mr. Kenney you are intolerant of any opposing view point to yours and you are the one who should take a hike. artpa

I've never eaten there but I will definitely give it a try now. By the way, I think all Americans should stand up for his right to express his opinions without being harassed and financially punished. Kenney sounds like the gestapo. UncleJoe
Are these people for real? Surprisingly, a business wants to come to Philly and a city councilman who represents us all says no just to cater to the gay vote? He should be impeached. It's remarkable that gays want tolerance but in the end, they are the most intolerant people around. It may be news to them but opposition to gay marriage does not make one homophobic, especially if it is based on religious beliefs. Oh, I forgot, religious beliefs have no place in society today unless you're Muslim. JohnnyB.
Whether the guy hides behind the bible or not, he's a bigot. Bigots like Cathy are very selective about what they choose to believe or not to believe from the bible. It also says that we are all God's children and that you should love your neighbor. I don't believe that single out a particular group and claiming that they are bringing the wrath of God on the country is remotely Christian. It's bigotry. He's the arrogant, ignorant person who is interpreting the bible for everyone else. And he's getting it completely wrong. Fostering hatred is not what Christianity is about. I'm sure Hitler was a true believer in his beliefs too. There's nothing to admire about a person who perverts a religion. MikeP
I wonder if Kenney will have a "do you support gay marriage" survey so he can weed out the anti-gay marriage movement. Interesting he doesn't kick the Church out of the city. Soon, he'll pass a law requiring all anti-gay marriage supporters to wear a tinky winky patch over their hearts. palmyra21
I made a point of buying a sandwich there today. Jean Valjean
let's analyze this Jimmy boy.. You are one of the leaders of a city that is morally and financially bankrupt and you are taking time out to blast a private businessman who probably pays more taxes to the city in one week than you have paid in a lifetime??? 6 out of 10 black babies are born with no Daddy in your city Jimmmy boy..
I am going to Chick Fil A tomorrow and will double my order in honor of you.. jaydg22

Cathy's dogmatic beliefs has no relevance in American citizens equally being protected by the United States Constitution. American citizens are not members of his social club that subscribes to hazing, superstitions and religious myths. Dexter
Typical. Liberals ask for tolerance but then they have no tolerance for people who have a difference of opinion to theirs. Hey I'll present a proclamation so the special interest group that makes up a small percentage of my constituency sees I'm standing up for them. How about you do something about the section 8 housing in your city of Brother love or sisterly affection. You are a pandering fool Kenney. Mr. Barffington- You're so right. We should tolerate terrorists. We should respect the opinion of pedaphiles. Another dumb Republican. Do what about Section 8 housing? Or was that some type of incomprehensible racist statement?
MikeP
Kenney uses his position to criticize an individual's religious based personal belief system, and wants City Council to join him...beyond the pale... TomTheCork
Jim Vitetta Kenney is a prime example of why there should be term limits on City Council members and why no member of City Council should have another job besides their council job. Look at a financial disclosure form from Kenney and see all of his sources of income. I am shocked he had the time to write that trivial letter seeing as how he spends most of his time in North Wildwood in the summer or at Vitetta down at the Navy Yard. Funny how Kenney mentions the "prized right of marriage that heterosexual couple take for granted". Look in the mirror Kenney and your own personal situation. You are in no position to be discussing marriage. Michael T. Welsh
An open letter to Kenney..... you too can take a hike! Who cares what you say? If you are offended then turn the other cheek! zjimmyjcb
What brought Rome and Greece down? Pride, Arrogance and Homosexuality.
We are next.
As the Gman says in his latest book, "When I was a Kid, America was a Great Country" LJM- Rome fell because the populace focused more on the arts and sciences and less on the military. Because of that, the military swelled with foreigners who cared little for the glory of Rome but only for the power of it. That military class eventually overthrew the Roman ruling class and began the dark ages, a time when might trumped reason. Try reading a book before you post a comment.

I second the statement by GREEKPICNIC. gemini48- Why can't Cathy express his opinion? Why does it make people so angry? The institute of marriage does come from the bible after all. If you're not into it, then skip it and stand by what you believe, and don't get so angry with others who are not afraid to say what they believe. ptahan
- Cathy can express "his" opinion. But the rights of marriage, bestowed ever so generously on us by your great book of fairly tales, extend to the civil laws here in the US. It makes people angry because the laws she supports (with a great deal of money, don't forget) says they can't see their loved ones in the hospital, or get benefits, on and on. Would it anger you if she said African Americans should not get these rights, because the Bible talks about those who are not "chosen" being less in the eyes of your god? It makes people angry because it affects their lives tremendously. "Do unto others..." Right ptahan? This is not just her opinion, the company funds the denial of rights to equal citizens. What is so Christian, so American, about that?

This comment has been deleted. GREEKPICNIC- I agree. He should be more worried that his resolution, should it be adopted, would increase the number of unemployed Philadelphians. How irresponsible. JayDay
- Right. The murder rate is through the roof, fire stations are closing, the tax base, what's left of it, is about to be taxed into oblivion, and Kenney thinks this is worth worrying about.

More reason for term limits in city council. anti-tax
What a stupid flap. Who cares what Chik-fil-a thinks? This is just avenue for self promotion for people like Kenney. It shows his lack of depth.
I am fine with gay marriage, but I still might go out of my way to eat a Chik-Fil-a to support freedom of speech. LGbalsac
That's laughable. Does Jim Kenney think Chick Fil A's president will even read that stupid letter? A city council resolution condeming Chick Fil A when council comes back from a 3 month vacation? Now THAT'S laughable!! Stick to city business, Councilman. Chick's stance on marriage has nothing to do with Philadelphia's City council. THank you! Chr
hahahaha....does anybody take anythign Jim Kenney says seriously?? For real?? Go away, Jim. Forever.
I give Dan Cathy credit...he is true to his beliefs and has put his money where is mouth is by closing his OVERWHELMINGLY successful business on Sundays. Unlike Kenney, who well just always puts his mouth where his mouth is...and has contributed nothing to society or created anything in life.
I guess this means in the "progressive" utopian society which is Philadelphia, City Council will now attempt to initiate a Chick Fil A tax of 10% added to all business done at Chick Fil A, huh???
kelprod2- "True to his beliefs"?? Haha, yeah let's credit a bigot for sticking to his guns.
Dan Cathy can keep his big book of fairy tales. The rest of us will actually exercise compassion for other human beings while he and his fellow Christians do what they do best. ew8 - I have noticed that so called family values bible living Christians ALWAYS seem to follow ONLY the parts of eh bible that supports their particular prejudices. Misogyny and Homophobia seem to be the only sections they want to follow themselves and also want to force others to follow. They all eat shrimp, wear cotton/poly blends, don't stone people whoo do business on Saturdays (the real sabbath) etc etc etc.
dwilliamsamh - Dan Cathy is not true to his beliefs. He, and others like him, liberally pick and choose portions of the Bible that they follow and disregard other portions which they do not.

I kind of think there's more pride and arrogance in saying God is opposed to gay marriage than asking that gays have the right of civil marriage. stevestevestevesteve- Last I heard gay marriage is still illegal in Philadelphia. So why is Kenney picking on this guy?
UncleJoe - What else do you expect him to say? The place is called CHICK fil-a, not GAY DUDE boney chicken. It's very demeaning to women and rather misogynist when you think of it. This dude is very Christian, even closes the stores on Sunday. He definitely walks the walk, you got to hand that to him. It's very homophobic to sell CHICKen with NO BONES. LOL...think about it, it's a hoot.
- Why? It's his belief. He's not telling you that you can't choose the homosexual lifestyle. He's just saying that it does not follow biblical principles. He's a Christian. The institute of marriage is a biblical practice. If he were Muslim would you argue that it's prideful to have he 4 or 5 wives and a number of separate families under one roof? Why is someone "prideful" or "arrogant" for standing up for what they believe? ptahan
