Just how is Marge doing?

POSTED: Wednesday, May 18, 2011, 4:42 PM

PhillyClout tried to track down crushed political icon City Commission Chairwoman Marge Tartaglione at her Northeast home today.

A man answered the door and said Tartaglione -- who appears headed for a re-election defeat -- was at City Hall but a small girl who crept up beside the man blurted “she’s in the kitchen.”

For now Tartaglione appears to be in hiding. PhillyClout can’t confirm whether she showed up for work today.

Tartaglione, a former DROP participant, collected $288,136 in pension perks in 2008, retired for a long weekend only to return to work. She likely lost her battle for reelection yesterday. Stephanie Singer, a ward leader and math professor, who targeted Tartaglione over DROP finished first in the Commissioner race and the other spot on the Democratic ticket will likely go to incumbent Anthony Clark.

Spending taxpayers monies..hopefully karma catches up to her and she doesn't last long enough to spend her pension. Untill then I'm SOOOOO glad I'll be paying for her retirement...Enjoy Marge.
