If it is election day, it must be the Famous 4th St. Deli

If it is election day, we must be at the Famous Fourth Street Deli in Queen Village, where politicians and their supporters swap the gossip they’re hearing at the polling places. Local 98 of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers arrived early to stake out tables at the popular deli.

Early gossip: Local 98 political director Bobby Henon, a Democrat running for the 6th City Council district, entered to cheers and people calling him councilman.  Henon, running against Republican Sandy Stewart, predicted that he would get "easy 80 percent" of the vote today.

We also hear Republican mayoral nominee Karen Brown was on Fox29 this morning complaining that her name had been cut from some GOP sample ballots being passed out at polling places. Brown was a long-time Democratic committeewoman before crossing over this year to the Republicans to run for mayor.
