Gov. Rendell: "Don't Ask Me Again" About PhillyMag Story

POSTED: Wednesday, June 23, 2010, 6:29 PM

Gov. Rendell doesn't want to answer any more questions about his friendship with Kirstin Snow, the director of Commonwealth Media Services, now that Philadelphia Magazine has prepared a story in which Rendell and Snow deny rumors of a romance.  Leaving a meeting in Harrisburg this afternoon, Rendell shot down questions from reporters about the story and Snow.  Click here to watch a video of that, via Roxbury News.

Here's what Rendell had to say:  "No comment. It’s personal. It’s between me and my family. There’s no governmental interest here. What I said and what Dr. Snow said in Philadelphia magazine is the truth. That’s it. Don’t ask me again."

Rendell has a major Clinton-style problem, that is the real reason he has never moved up the ladder to national politics. He can say that he never desired higher office or a place in the administration, but he is tarnished and everyone knows it.

Mention sex and the creeps crawl out of their holes. No wonder so many good people refuse even think about a career in politics. Give 30 years of service and this is your reward. The governor derserves better. In about 18 months lots of folks will be missing the Rendell years in the commonwealth of Pa. Mark my words.

The Democrat news media will let it go, because Ed told them to. I wonder how long they sat on this story, waiting until he is almost finished his term. They wouldn't want to hurt their guy. Remember when he asked that female reporter what color panties she was wearing? They let him off the hook for that.

Um Ed? When you say it's between you and your family? It means that the rumor is true. Duh.

HappyBob is correct. That's how he got the nickname Fast Eddie. Remember that other Philly Mag reporter in the limo to NYC.

Ok, let me straighten out a few people. Jerry, Sanford is still governor, so nobody was run out in SC. Captain, he held one of the most important national posts in the Democratic party, so I have no idea why you would say something like that unless you didn't know. I'm not saying he didn't do it, but I certainly gave McCain the benefit of the doubt during the presidential election, so I would hope people would have the same consideration instead of trying to jump on a non-story. Your rabid attacks on liberals make me think of schoolyard bullies. You try to lash out because you conservatives don't like yourselves.

I agree with the Governor. It's nobody's business and has nothing to do with him running the state. He's a lame duck now, anyway. I guess all you guys who commented on his looks have full heads of hair and no hanging guts.

"fast eddie" likes young men. That's why big Frank nicknamed him. He once got caught flashing in a public bathroom in new york. His mommy and daddy got him out of the jam, but Rizzo found out thru the log books. Two commissioners got jobs here in Philly, because they knew. One was a prison commissioner, who got caught having sex eith woman guards, and the other was a police commish. Why someone don't trace these roots, I'll never know. I heard this in a barber shop from one of those very men.

Didn't think much of it. But I can't get my arms around the "It’s personal. It’s between me and my family. There’s no governmental interest here". Whats between you and your family? Doesn't sound like the wording of a faithful man.
