Corbett & Toomey dodge backing Romney's Libya comments

POSTED: Wednesday, September 12, 2012, 3:17 PM

Mitt Romney, the Republican nominee for president, is taking some heat today for comments he made about the attacks that killed Christopher Stevens, the U.S. Ambassador to Libya, and a crowd that pulled down the American flag at the American embassy in Cairo Egypt.

Gov. Corbett and U.S. Sen. Pat Toomey held a conference call to tout what they see as the potential for Romney to win Pennsylvania in the Nov. 6 general election.  They were far less eager to talk about Romney's comments on the attack.

"Senator, I'm going to let you take that," Corbett said after a reporter asked them to respond to what Romney had to say.

Toomey, saying he has had "a very intense," also didn't want to respond.

"I have not seen the exact script of Gov. Romney’s comments so I don’t have an opinion on that," Toomey said.

Governer TOMMY CORBETT - for sale to the highest bidder. The man who let the pedophile Jerr Sandusky walk the streets while he stalled the investigation for 3 years. And for WHAT!!! OH, That's right.... over two hundred thousand dollars in political campaign contributions from Sanduski's charity the Second Mile.
May you rot in H3ll Tommy boy for allowing Jerry to continue to molest children just so you could get money for your campaign. You are a scumbag and we will make sure that you are not re-elected!!!!

Unlike the loudmouth grandstander Alyson Swartz (D) from Bucks County, Toomey and Corbett know their place is not to comment and possibly undermine the U.S. position on such an International event. That is the role of the White House and the White House only.

the man who got Bin laden nows says that justice will be done. The murderers are marked now. Make my day. There is a tough guy in the White House - unlike Reagan whose make my day was firing the air traffic controllers or Bush whose make my day was the failure to get bin laden- Mr. Obama is a man of his word.

Corbett will be re-elected just like Christie in NJ will be as well. They both saved their respective states from the fiscal abyss that their Democratic predessors left them in.

Yeah, NJ's unemployment is higher than the nations, so Christie is doing a helluva job, right? Revnue is half what Christie expected so he is really doing great, huh? And Corbett is trying to sell PA to the highest bidder and still isn;t doing much, either. If you are a professor, I suggest you turn in your diploma because you know nothing. You don't even mention how Obama has been cleaning up the bigger mess Bush left him.

How about having a clue what you're talking about before you embarrass yourself like your joke of a candidate seems to have a propensity for. Then again what do republicans know about facts. The statement you're referring to made by the Ambassador to Egypt was made before the killings took place. So unless she's a soothsayer and can tell the future, I doubt the ignorant assertion by Romney and his handlers that anyone was "apologizing" for any killing would seem to anyone with an ounce of sense to be pure fabrication. But then again that's what republicans are best at isn't it?

The media will talk about anything so long as it diverts attention away from any Obama failures! When you project weakness and appologize for freedom, all hell breaks loose in the less civilized parts of the world. Regardless of who you support, this was a massive error on the administrations part.....we had no marines protecting our Embassy in one of the most unstable countries in the world(with our assistance) and our media instead wants to talk about wether it was appropriate for Romney to comment!? You might also think they would be concerned with the misjudgement of the "moderate" muslim brotherhood that the administration backed in the Islamic Revolution in Egypt, their growing relationship with Iran and their persecution of religious minorities and women, but no, Romney's supposedly inappropriate tone in defending freedom of speech is far more important!

Obama is a tool for the Radical Muslims. It is quite evident. He sends 50 marines to the Embassy..Big freaken deal. Show some strength for goodness sake. Everything is always all talk. Iran, Libya, Egypt, Palestine, Syria,Yeman, Iraq and Afgahnistan. tell me one thing he has done right in these countries where current US policy is a big epic failure.
