So we all know that in Philadelphia politics, having the right name is half the battle. Case in point: the sons of three former mayors currently hold City Council seats, W. Wilson Goode Jr., Bill Green and Frank Rizzo.

Well, we're hearing that another well-named gentleman is rising in Philadelphia politics. Of course, he's not related to a political family. And he's still in high school.

Frank Rizzo, a senior from Broomall, Pa., was elected president of the student body at St. Joseph's Prep yesterday, according to St. Joe's Communications Director Bill Avington. Rizzo is no relation to the famed political family. No word yet on whether he plans a career in politics.

This is considered newsworthy? Give me a break. Just because a tidbit CAN be posted doesn't mean it SHOULD be posted.

Hey BLH, this kid is ahead of even Nutter's fast track. Nutter went to the Prep altough he never was elected President of his class and he did not have the benefit of a familar name..

Good for you Frank! EarlJ - next thing he needs to do is leave the Catholic church to earn some votes in North/West Philly.
