Prez needs to lead on debt, Christie says

Because you just knew he had an opinion, the gov thrust himself into the debate over the federal debt crisis today. He said the prez needs to put a plan in writing, and then come to a compromise with Congress, just like he did with the pension and bennies reform plan:

"The fact of the matter is the president has spoken in platitudes about this, thrown numbers out there, but we have not seen a plan out there...I've seen here in New Jersey there is no substitute for executive leadership, and that means taking risk. When we put out our pension and benefit reform plan last year, there were no plans out there....What it did was it started a conversation, and by January the senate president had put forward a plan...You can't lead from behind, that goes for anybody in Congress, that goes for the president of the United States also."
