New Christie poll, presidential talk and video

New poll! Christie's approval ratings remain split, the same as last month and down from last year. Of registered voters, according to the Rutgers-Eagleton poll, 44 percent give the gov a favorable rating and 42 percent view him unfavorable. Another 14 percent have no opinion.

No opinion? Really? This governor?!?

In other news this week, see Christie's entire interview here with Diane Sawyer, where the esteemed journalist concluded with a Bruce Springsteen reference that made my ears burn: "As everybody wonders over and over again, when it comes to the presidency, is Chris Christie, born to run?"

At least one congressman thinks Christie is running for president. California Congressman Tom McClintrock told a radio interviewer, here, that he heard Christie, "that sexy stud," speak in DC last week, and it sounded like he's running for president. "I know a campaign speech when I hear one," he said. "I think he's running."

Meanwhile, I spent yesterday with the gov in NYC, where he delivered a major policy address on education. I wrote this story about his plans to change tenure and link teacher evaluations with pay. Also, check out the video below, which the administration just released.
