Coulter: If Christie isn't our nominee, we're dead

Politico is reporting that conservative commentator/provocateur Anne Coulter believes that the only way President Obama can be defeated in 2012 is if Gov. Christie is the Republican nominee.

"If we don't run Chris Christie, Mitt Romney will be the nominee and we will lose," she said Saturday at the CPAC conference in Washington DC.

Christie, of course, has said over and over and over and over again that he's not ready or willing to run for president just yet. But that didn't stop six percent of the conservative attendees of the conference from picking Christie as their choice for the 2012 GOP nominee. The gov tied for third place in the informal straw poll, beating out those who are actually expected to run - like Sarah Palin, Newt Gingrich and Rick Santorum.
