Kennett Square police are seeking the public's help to identify the person responsible for a stabbing incident in the borough Monday afternoon.

Police responded about 2 p.m. to the 400 block of West South Street, where they found an individual with multiple, non-life-threatening stab wounds to the head and face. Police said the victim was transported to Christiana Hospital. Police said officers remained on the scene for several hours collecting evidence and interviewing neighbors.

Police said they believe the attack was targeted, and they are seeking more information about what may have prompted it. Anyone who might be able to assist is asked to contact Cpl. Richard Bell or Officer Oscar Rosado at 610-444-0501.
