Seeking Coatesville of yesteryear

The Coatesville Historical Commission is requesting assistance from longtime city residents to share verbal history, artifacts, photos or family memories so the city’s rich past can be preserved for posterity.

The Coatesville Historical Commission is requesting assistance from longtime city residents to share verbal history, artifacts, photos or family memories so the city's rich past can be preserved for posterity.

"These memories are important to us and should be shared," said a news release from the commission today. "This is a vitally important undertaking for future generations to gain a glimpse into our rich heritage and to insure this information will not be lost." Anyone with information or items of significance to donate should call City Hall at 610-384-0300. The commission, which promises to preserve and display artifacts proudly, requests callers to leave their name and phone number so a board member can contact them to schedule a meeting.
