Police targeting I-95 speeders

If you live in Chester County, there's a good chance you'll drive on I-95 through Delaware County on your way to or from Philadelphia.

Well the  State Police today identified the interstate today as "a major roadway experiencing traffic crashes and aggressive driving" and if they get their way, it may become a major roadway on which to get a ticket.

To encourage safe driving, police said they used a PennDot pickup truck and a radar unit and issued 28 citations in an hour and a half: 26 for speeding, one for driving with a suspended license, and one for having expired registration.

Police said they will continue the effort, dubbed "Operation Yellow Jacket," and they urged motorists to heed speed limits and wear seatbelts.
