Homeowners  in Schuylkill and West Vincent Townships interested in helping the environment can start in their backyards, thanks to a program being held Saturday in West Vincent.

Presented by Audubon Pennsylvania in cooperation with Bird Town West Vincent and Bird Town Schuylkill Township, the program will feature two classes. The first will run from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., and the second, which includes backyard site visits, will be held at a time and location to be determined. The cost is $75 and includes companion textbook, notebook, coursework, light morning fare and lunch. The township building is located at 729 St. Matthews Road, Chester Springs, 19425. To register, email tswavely@westvincenttwp.org or call Tammy 610-458-1601.
