West Chester's long-running, crowd-pleasing "Old-Fashioned  Christmas" kicks off Friday with an elf run and a parade.

The 32nd Annual MARS Drinks Old-Fashioned Christmas events will begin with a tree-lighting at 6:15 p.m. at the historic courthouse. It will be followed by the 3rd Annual Jingle Elf Run at 6:30 and a parade at 7:15.

In addition, a number of musical and theatrical performances and holiday-themed events will take place throughout the borough over the weekend. For a list, visit the West Chester Chamber of Commerce web site:
