House tour to combine history, holidays

The Chadds Ford Historical Society will host its 27th Annual Candlelight Christmas on Saturday.

This year's tour will include four private homes, three in Pocopson Township and one in Pennsbury Township, all of which will be decked out with festive flair. Visitors will also be greeted at the Barns-Brinton House, the society's 18th-century tavern, with holiday displays and colonial refreshments.

Advance tickets are $16 for adults and $5 for children. The day of the event, tickets can be purchased for $20 each at the Chadds Ford Historical Society on Creek Road in Chadds Ford Township. Call 610-388-7376 for more information.
