After a several-month investigation, Kennett Square police executed two search warrants yesterday that resulted in the arrests of three female borough residents on multiple drug charges, Kennett Police Chief Edward A. Zunino said today.

Police said the search warrants were served yesterday morning  in the 300 block of E. State St. and the 300 block of E. Linden St. Taken into custody were Roxanne R. Steele, 59, Kristen L. Watson, 36, and Ana Claudia Bustos, 31. Borough police were assisted by the Western Chester County Emergency Response Team and the Chester County Sheriff’s Department.

Evidence seized during the search warrants consisted of powder and rock cocaine, drug paraphernalia, and cash, police said.  After arraignment, Steele was released on $20,000 unsecured bail, and Watson and Bustos were taken to Chester County Prison after failing to post $20,000 cash bail, court records said. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Tuesday.
