The Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission is inviting  Chester County history buffs to nominate properties, people, or events for PHMC's marker program. The deadline for nominations is Dec. 1.

Since 1914, PHMC has been highlighting Pennsylvania's past, first with bronze plaques and later with the more than 2,600 familiar blue and gold signs that chronicle significant history in the commonwealth. Applicants must be prepared to bear the cost of the markers, which range from $1,400 to $1,850.

For more information or to download a nomination form, visit www.phmc.state.pa.us. Click on Public Programs and then Pennsylvania Historical Marker Program.
